No I don't think so.. was thinking of putting wireshark on that and seeing exactly what those packets are sending. But I'm still not getting access The top cover does easilyh come off with a single screw and there is an SD Card slot there but no reset unfortunately

Sorry I'm seeing any slot for a micro SD on this cam... apparently there may be a reset button right next to the SDcard slot?

Further to this.. the manufacturer sent me a search tool which he advised would allow me to reset and gain access to this camera.. BUT connected to the same switch on the same local LAN and pinging the actual camera at the same time, this tool found nothing. So try as I may to gain access or...

Someone suggested that I try changing the default gateway on the camera and it made sense because blueiris is on the same local subnet so the camera shouldn't need a default gateway once setup in blueiris... which it was.. But now it has lost connection and there is no "reset" button anywhere...

Hi there, don't know if this is the correct forum area but I just picked up this Hik Bullet cam. A price I couldn't refuse but I never looked at the specs close enough.. my current setup is a few cams on blueiris 5 obviously all on PoE over cat5 ethernet. This camera has no connetor like that...

So that may explain while checking my cameras this morning I see a blue "Blue Iris Evaluation Version" plastered across my cameras?

Well I can't explain it but it was actually a blank password but I tried leaving it blank numerous times. I'll chalk it up to either being too old for this IT thingy any longer, or one of those little mysteries we come upon once in a while ;)

Awesome, thanks for all this.. the admin password turned out to be blank. I kept hacking away and with the above info was successful This is actually a fairly decent camera video wise.. Like I said it was only $69.00 Canadian. Just trying to establish what type of sound it will capture. Thanks...

Thanks for the response.. tried that this cam is a real stickler but for the price it is exactly what I need.. It's got some proprietary setup whereby you have to login into a mobile app called PS6 and then create an account on some site in order to be able to use the app to scan a qr code...

This was supposed to be a cheap alternative to get a bit of sound out of an ipcam on one corner of my residence. Seemed to fit the bill with builtin-mic etc but for the life of me I can't get in the setup or access the camera in any way. The default admin user is not using any of the default...

Thanks for that.. makes sense to me to offer an additional power option. I can't think of a situation where you would want to run a power and separate network cable but perhaps there would be an applicaiton for that
