The tripwire is working and is emailing me snapshots of who came in the driveway. Now I'd like to be able to see the flagged spots in the actual video but I don't know where to do that at.
I did have problems with gmail but set it up to use my outlook email and it was working fine emailing me when it detected motion but there was no picture.
I am now trying the IVS tripwire method and i think I have it setup correctly but now it's not emailing me anything at all. That's a highway...
I finally got the email notification set up after a couple of hours of dinking around. I clicked the snapshot box thinking that it would send me the snapshot but after looking into it furth it appears that it only saves a snapshot on the NVR which isn't what I'm looking for.
Is it possible to...
I'm no pro (I've only set up one system) but I ran about 4 cameras from my shop to a single switch. That switch then ran to another switch in the house that also had 4 or so cameras on it which ultimately ran to the NVR. Don't quote me on this bet from what I recall I was using nowhere near the...

I like to keep the feed up on my computer but it's automatic timeout is frustrating to say the least. Is there a way to disable this or increase it so much that it's not an issue?
It was working fine for a week or two and then it cut out. It appears that I can ping it's ip address but it doesn't show up on the NVR. I've unplugged it's ethernet cable a couple times but that didn't work. This stuff is not my speciality so I don't know where to go next.
I'm mounting my new Dahua starlights and I want to run the wires externally i.e. not drilling a hole through the center of the mount to run them directly through the wall.
What is the best practice to wrangle the extra pigtails in a clean and weatherproof fashion?
Part of me just wants to cut...
I hope that this is a stupid question and I'm missing something obvious but I'm working on installing my awesome new starlight bullet cams and I can't see how to manually adjust the pan of the camera. There is a collar that allows it to tilt but it keeps it from panning.
Please tell me I...
