I have Sovmiku/ Hiseeu PTZ cameras. I had the same issue of not being able to set the "Home" position.
I found that with Guard Station NVR software, that the term was "Auto-Guard" which has an eyeball symbol, found in the PTZ/Preset control panel.
I deleted all my presets, then added the Preset...
Since my NVR is limited to 8mp, both cams need not exceed 8mp combined. Needs to be POE camera.
Any suggestions?

I can’t believe that after 3yrs no one has addressed this issue. I just had the same problem. I reduced the chunk size thinking it would make it better for navigation of recorded video, but believe it causes loss of video. Going to increase the chunk storage to see if there are fewer losses.
Original thread sounded like the stranded worked and the solid did not.
I researched, as you said, the solid has a lower resistance/meter than stranded. (Not typical in electrical world, but works here.)
Thanks for the info.
I am looking at Ebay for a ONVIF IP PTZ 30X.
I've had great luck using standard PTZ's on EBAY with an encoder. Just wondering if I can expect the same with IP.
I'm looking to use BlueIris for my Video Management System.
Any feedback?
Stranded wire has more surface area and less voltage drop across it. When IR Illuminators kick in you may be experiencing the difference in voltage drop between solid and stranded. You can scale back on your IR through the camera menu, or even turn it off to see if it makes a difference. Some...
