How does the WAN info get sent to ddns-name.myfoscam.org ? Is it via the camera?
I don't know about that. I just open the ports that needed to be stayed open, just like the manual said. On the DDNS menu in the camera's Web Interface I only enable the DDNS and uPnP options. on the device status...
my isp is 1&1 and I use dsl. I tried http://my-wan-ip:1818 and it worked like a charm. But I still can't use the ddns-name.myfoscam.org and I'd really like to use ddns name. I had tried ddns with noip, it didn't work as well.

I wanted to access my Foscam C1 Lite and FI9853EP from work over ddns and/or port forwarding. It doesn't work until now. I can't access the cameras...
