I assumed that the doorbell camera unit would need to be exposed to the subnet with outside access. How else would it be connecting to the DMSS app?
I took a bit of a break after not being able to get this up and running. I'm going to re-engage and see if I can make any...
I'm trying to get my Dahua Villa Station doorbell camera to send push notifications to the DMSS app on my android Google Pixel phone. I am able to connect via the app and see the video feed as well as call the door, but the push when the door bell button is hit does not happen.

Have now realized the same issue @achalmersman has found after receiving my VTM114 flush mount. Very strange design is it only supposed to be used in a location you can use morter/glue with brink or stone? Any suggestions for how to make this work for a wood exterior wall location? I may be able...

Got some great advice from @EMPIRETECANDY on some cheaper options for wildlife viewing, decided to go IPC-HDW1431S 2.8mm to get a wider view of my fields/garden area. Thanks Andy, got here in record time. Here's what I picked up.

Awesome forum for ip camera information, much appreciated for someone learning the ropes like myself.
I'm looking for suggestions on my plan for cameras while my home is being remodeled. I'm in a rural area so mainly interested in watching my chickens and the deer eat my wife's tomato plants...
