    Issues with WD purple drives

I just want to comment on the last few posts. The drives all worked for 30ish days and then stopped. It's not a boot order issue, the drives CAUSE THE BIOS TO NOT POST. Please understand that means it simply will not boot from any media at all any time. I just dropped a Seagate in that...

    Issues with WD purple drives

Possibly, but why not the other WD drive that's always in the machine (1tb OS drive)? Also the backup WD Red drive never has the problem. Nada, same results as when the drive is connected directly to the mobo. I agree, but hindsight is 20/20 and WD keeps replacing these purple drives...

    Issues with WD purple drives

Nothing in disk management, I can tell when they spin up I heard them when they were new.

    Issues with WD purple drives

If you're suggesting hot plugging the drive, when I do that it isn't recognized and it doesn't sound like spins up.

    Issues with WD purple drives

I guess I'm not being clear. Being connected as a secondary (or third, fourth, etc.. drive) The drive causes ANY computer its in to fail to post. Of course I'm not trying to boot from the drive all that's on it is BI recordings.

    Issues with WD purple drives

No PC will boot with the drive connected so I'm not sure how I could check the drive.

Hi mat, Is this something I could look at while the drive is out of the PC?

    Issues with WD purple drives

I figured I'd jump on here and post because I just wrapped up my 4th WD Purple 4tb for an RMA replacement. At this point I think I've spent almost the cost of a new drive in return shipping. Not to mention the lost footage every time this happens. Drive is a WD40PURZ-85TTDY0. My BI machine...

Examples of your Clips and Archiving config

Screen shots of my config. I've since turned off trig + cont. I turned that on when I first set up BI thinking it was like my old DVR. In order to get motion alerts but also record continuously you had to enable a function named similarly. I did that brainlessly thinking "I need alerts...

Examples of your Clips and Archiving config

Hi all, Whats a typical configuration look like? I had some clips go mysteriously missing recently and I'm wonder if I had something out of order. I also just added a bigger drive to the machine so that prompted me to take a closer look at my configuration. My machine has a 1tb system...

    BlueIris on your TV!

Now if only we could get something working on the Roku. All my TVs have 1 which is used for SlingTV and Plex. I ditched cable long ago. I can't justify putting a FireTV on all of them to gain BI viewing.

    Lower frame rate viewing remotely

Hi all, I'm running the latest version BI and bp2008's UI2. When connected over LAN the ui2 live view is very fluid and looks great. When connected over the internet it tends to drop the frame rate a lot. I made sure my user account has no bandwidth restrictions, and I checked the...
