Browsers, maybe other than the MS browser, would be getting updates. But I would be leary of other vulnerabilities, like out dated DLLs and other things that are now easily hacked. I would make sure I had a solid malware defense and definitely no e-mail. I actually still know people running XP but they keep them off the Internet, using it to run priority software since XP has low overhead...
