Not sure how to tell which region etc firmware I should get but everything I have tried fails immediately (basically it never attempts to flash it).

Im stuck here: V3.4.108 build 191220

I cant view the previews or playback in a browser and I want to upgrade to firmware 5 and up , as I hear that has corrected the web browser compatibility.

I reached out to Hikvsion spport (waiitng to hear back) , however wanted to ask here as the forum s filled with a wealth of knowledge :) . Thanks!

Judging from the (C) and (D) suffixes, that firmware is for current hardware variants of the NVR model you've quoted.
If your full model number doesn't have such a suffix, you could try the firmware from here :

Be aware, though, that on other series of Hikvision NVRs, upgrading from the V3.x to the V4.x (much different and initially quite buggy) firmware has been quite problematic.

Ahh perhaps some things are better left alone. I guess web access for viewing isnt a big priority. I can record the cameras and view in IVMS and the mobile hik connect app so I supposed I should leave well enough alone. In the future ill upgrade hardware for more advanced features, motion notications etc. I am using them through Srcypted and homekit for the time being, and seem to get what I need, the Hikvision NVR is there for the 24/7 continuous feed should i need to access it,
Thanks for the reply

PS: my hardware shows no suffix in the the web console viewing model #.
