Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

Did I miss where it was discussed how to avoid this popping up? If my computer restarts for whatever reason this prevents BI tools from starting which prevents BI from starting. Thanks

    Should a i5-6500 3.2GHz 8GB Still Be Enough?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Lots of stuff to try. Does anyone know off the top of their head if there are two ram slots? SouthernYankee, see attachments. For some odd reason the clip storage shot up to over allocated, when it was literally fine for months and at -50gb. I think there is...

    Should a i5-6500 3.2GHz 8GB Still Be Enough?

It was originally a clean install when I first installed Blue Iris 2 years ago. I excluded antivirus scans previously for BI, database, storage. According to the system monitor BI is taking 65+% of cpu much of the time, the rest is other CPU processes

    Should a i5-6500 3.2GHz 8GB Still Be Enough?

I can look into substreams/lower bitrates. I am not remoting in, this is directly connected via HDMI. Thanks for the troubleshooting.

    Should a i5-6500 3.2GHz 8GB Still Be Enough?

Attached is the cameras tab. I am outputting to a 1920x1200 monitor. Direct to disk is on. I think Quick Sync is enabled. I think I will need to reboot and check the bios to check.

    Should a i5-6500 3.2GHz 8GB Still Be Enough?

Hi, I bought a Dell OptiPlex 3040 SFF Intel 6th Gen i5-6500 3.2GHz 8GB about 2.5 years ago to run Blue Iris on. I have 11 cameras (mostly 2 megapixel) and I am constantly hitting 85%+ on the CPU with constant crashes. I have followed the CPU optimization wiki, using direct to disk, etc.. Should...

Any reason not to just replace most cable lines with cat6?

You could try that, but the coax might be stapled to studs. Some builders do that.

TinyCam Pro - Feed very slow

Perhaps the fire stick isn't fast (powerful) enough...? Try TinyCam Pro on your phone when connected to the home wifi.

    UI3 Auto Login Delay

Hi, Is there any way to get rid of the UI3 auto login delay... where it counts down from 2 seconds before logging in? I would prefer to save these seconds in case I need to view a camera quickly. Thanks

No mechanical. Perhaps there is a good way to reduce the voltage in-line? Cool.

I had called the manufacturer of the chime (before seeing your posts) and they said not to use 24v on it. :idk:

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Is anyone having good luck with a 16v transformer either 20va or 30va? I thought about getting a 24v transformer, but I cannot find chimes that can handle that many volts. Thanks.

What is the best firmware option for the U-Bell? Can we upgrade directly to the latest or do we have to go one by one. Are there instructions for this? What about app, is Hik Connect the best? Thanks

tinyCam Monitor for Android and Blue Iris support

Ah ok, thanks. That makes sense. Good info. I only have the cameras streaming to BI and TinyCam from time-to-time, no issues. But I suppose I can play around with all of this. Thanks

tinyCam Monitor for Android and Blue Iris support

I am confused. What is the point of setting up Blue Iris through TinyCam vs just using TinyCam to connect directly to the camera?

motion detection, Blueiris or camera settings

Is one better than the other? Would having the camera do motion detection make a meaningful impact on the BI computer's cpu?
