I have already installed the cam, and tried scanning the QR code on the box then entering the serial number from the box....the app tells me the s/n does not exist....any ideas? Never mind...I got it figured out

Has anyone ever used these? I'm just having a hard time buying a box that is $20 when this seems to be an acceptable substitute...

yea, was just looking at specs on the cameras....I'm leaning towards just grabbing this EmpireTech Kit3 8/16-Camera Capable NVR System with IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 1/ and going from there.

at this point I'm not wanting to go to a PC....need this to be simple and plug and play. Will look into what Andy has....thanks

currently just one Empiretec 5442T-ze....will probably be adding more of the same, local guy wants to sell vitek cams to me but im not sold on them yet

I have access to a Hikvision DS-7608NI-EV2/8P....is that worth using for a starter system or should I look else where?

OK, I looked through that thread....I want to start with a driveway camera....probably 30' max or so. I live on 5ac, and eventually want some better cams to cover more area....but starting with one to play with. How do I know which sense I want? Is this what you would recommend for a first step?
