Yes, I have two of these mounts in use with replacing the hose clamps with smaller diameter ones. No problems.

Being as you are already versed in Blue Iris, that's the route I would vote for.

Easier to manage viewing clips if you only have to handle 1hr clips vs 8hrs. 8hrs is fine if you only record on alerts, but continuous recording is a different beast.

As already stated, each camera has to have it's own, unique IP address to avoid having issue's you are seeing with only one cam.

Camera settings. H264 or h264h Iframe interval set to 15. Bitrate, set to 8192 or higher for mainstream, and 1024 for substream. Set combine or cut video to 1 hrs.

Make certain the cameras pigtail doesn't have any "alarm wires" that are touching each other.

You don't need cat6a, Cat 6 or cat 5e is fine. Use punch down keystones. I like all of the Truecable equipment, I would stick with them for everything.
