    That's what I am thinking since my clip file sizes are pretty consistent. The data is there just not viewable. Seems i'm getting several blotches of grey during a playback and then it creates a new clip that plays back black.

    I Just noticed on mine that was black this morning. If I reset the camera and my playback is fixed for awhile.. If I view A black screen playback. When I scroll forward to a new viewable part of the clip.. and then scroll backwards I can see the part that was black before.. Anyone else?

    I'm Also really having a hard time with h265 now. Added a new 5231 camera last night and woke up to black recordings. reset it but on motion now goes to grey . Going to change them back to 264 i guess. Crazy thing is it is not all my cameras.

    I5 to I7 is not going to make that much difference in performance.. You might Try shutting down real time anti-virus scanning and see what happens to the cpu usage..

    OK, so now I realize that this was not a BI issue but happened because I changed my 2 main cams to record continuously several days ago.. Before that all cams were still on motion and was not filling the allocated spaces. FYI should anyone else experience this. All good now..

    I exported one section of a file and it saved to my desktop ( on a seperate drive to boot) . Should be no way I could have overwritten the entire database..

    Seems I had the same Issue a few days back and Once I went into Blue Iris tools options and hit the Detect version button at the top center, it repopulated the directories properly and made magic happen.. You might give that try.
