I had trouble with my ezviz db1c going offline and shutting down my doorbell chime. Everything just seemed dead. I even went so far as to order a new transformer to replace the old one in my attic. - never replaced it though. ...but then i turned off automatic updates and have not had the...

Dahua Keeps Changing IP When Static

I'm still a bit puzzled why the ip address would change on the cameras that are connected to the switch in the shop. You obviously have not added more cameras than your NVR is capable of processing. While 1 poe port on the back of the nvr is most likely 100mb, which is more than enough...

Dahua Keeps Changing IP When Static

plug your tp link poe switch into a vacant router port. I'm gonna assume you did it this way because it was easier to run the cables like you have them, but each poe port on the back of the nvr is suposed to be for only 1 camera. You may have to run a cable from your router to the TPlink poe...

Dahua Keeps Changing IP When Static

5 x of cameras are connected straight into the NVR, and other 3 are on a unmanaged TP link switch. TP switch gets connected to 1 of the POE ports back of the NVR. I've seen this work, but it's not the proper way.. Which cameras are changing ip adress? Would it be the ones going to the...

    1/1.8" cameras at night

Haven't read anythig in this thread. As far as i know dahua only makes 2 or less NPR cameras. They usualy are 2mp varifocal cams. Big ass cameras. The GUI has all kinds of stuff but nothing you can't read up on.... and yes with the right NVR just a few settings need to be done and the plate...

How to find password of cameras?

You purchased from a non rip off piece of shit....or (reputable person) I think most sellers should default the camera. If it will not reset to factory default he should not sell the camera without a disclaimer it may not reset and they do not know the password. If they refuse to help with...

Dahua cam down, problem with the network cable, one of the wires is broken

Yep. It helps if yo u have a good test meter that can do TDR and other features. But yes Tony is correct. 7 wires will work most likely if you do it as he said at each end. It may be worth looking at if you can use mode A for power or you could even power it via 12VDC if that is possible. Ypu...

Need help understanding the difference between these cameras

This may not be applicable to your situation. Some cameras/nvrs have corridor mode. I's especially good for hallways. Not gonna help with 10ft to 40 ft length fence, but in the proper location it's a great feature to try out.

Did I buy the wrong cable for POE (increased the risk of lightning/surge etc)?

I had to sit in on several ANSI/EIA/TIA-607 standards classes. I can't argue with any recomendations, and especially agree with float your equement away from a metal bulding...or place a piece of wood on non conductive box if you are mounting to a metal building. If lightening hits it's gonna...

Did I buy the wrong cable for POE (increased the risk of lightning/surge etc)?

I think you'll be fine. You may have paid more for the shielded foil cable' but if your using it the same as you would unshielded twisted pr. (same unshielded connectors) I don't think you'l see much difference. As far as running a higher risk of lightning, my experience says no unless you...
