I have been playing around with this on a 5442 ZE (not mine). questions: custom shutter as ms and change to 0-8.3ms and gain 0-50 (night) and 0-4ms exposure and Exposure Comp is that what you mean by "0-4 ms exposure"? default is 50 if i dial this down to 0 to 4 (during the day) it make the...

Doesnt have to be the 5449. If you have a whole other idea? Why does the D2 2.8mm only get good focus at 10-15 ft? And the 3.6? Even futher away?

You agree with the advice for me to not buy the D2 but the IPC-HDW5449TM-SE-LED ?

Yes that is of course true :) I don't mind tuning it but when it is good, i dont really touch it anymore. But maybe i will replace more of my cameras and i will ask here again :) I have got 2 sd-1404 gnr something like that, they also not super in the dark. Maybe replace them with 5442's...

Hahaha ok ok :) Well i will make a complete list but stuff like: Vidid / normal Colors brightness/contrast etc. You said something about it but isn't there like a best practice standard settings for that complete settings page? (So for all the options) BLC/WDR etc. I can look at what they do...

But what you said about the D2 and focus distance? Isnt that a problem then? I noticed there is an D2 2.8 and 3.6mm I can only buy the here: Dahua IPC-HDW5449TM-SE-LED Dahua IPC-HDW5449H-ASE-D2 (2.8/3.6) here. The ZE i haven't found so far here in the normal-ish camera shops.

You said before fixed is better than vari in the dark. But in this case will de 4 vs 2 LEDs make up for that? I was going for a fixed lens because of what you said before.. but now not so sure

[Discussion] Looking for better camera at night, livingroom

I mentioned 2 cameras with white LED in my startpost. But I think you will not pick them because of too small lens. Which one would you pick with white LED? Adding more light is not preferred. I can turn the one HUE light up a bit. What is more better light closest to camera or further away...

I will set this up. Do you know why my I frame keeps jumping back to 40 (fps is at 20). Synology is every video related set to "by camera". I read on here that i frame is best set equal to FPS right? And Stream smooth? What should that be? Ok shutter at 1/50 (cannot do 1/60), Gain 0 - 50, 3d...

I have not set things like shutter. Since my problem is during the day i will take a picture during the day. But my problem is more with moving people/dog. So probably video is a better idea. Shutter 1/60, which all others on 50? Just to make sure i don't miss one or that we are not on the same...

No castle size room :) So you think it is the camera and not the shutter etc. Tuning? Why is fixed lens so much better? I kinda always assumed fixed or vari would be the same camera except for the motor etc. part.

Sorry forgot the means i leave a hue light on at 15% all night. I forgot something else, the camera i mentioned when i look at the recording i am seeing some slacking behind moving people . I think it is called ghosting. But it is during the day in full light. Is it the old camera or settings...

I am running an IPC-HDW2431R-ZS in my living room. The angle is good, during the day the image is good, size of camera is good... but at night i would like color image and not so grainny / pixelly. Since i have had this camera for many years now there must be a better solution. I know about...

SD1A404XB image will a 5442T-ZE be way better?

I have read those before, but like i said i only wanted to be able to read them myself not automatically. I thought that would be different but apparently not. I thought about LPR camera in the past, but not sure if the corner in the road makes it a possible in a good way. Also because of the...

SD1A404XB image will a 5442T-ZE be way better?

Below see the image quality of my current SD1A404XB. I would like the image to be a bit better, no sure if that is possible (without thousand + dollar cameras). i would like to be able to read the license plates of the cars also on the road. (Besides the left black one) Will a 5442T-ZE give a...

Recording General, Motion, Intelligent makes search difficult

I have a few dahua ( 5442) cameras and a Dahua nvr 4208. My question is about the recording. When you go to search you will see a green line, with yellow and blue blocks in it (if motion and intelligence sensor went off). When i look at the recording it stops when it goes from green to yellow...

Dahua NVR web GUI "config file error" not showing cameras..

I think i solved it. But maybe not usable for you @Poli_88. My NVR has got a PoE switch build in. I changed my camera manufacturer from ONVIF, to private. (So also from port 80 to 37777). I cannot pick Dahua, just a small list. After doing this i am not getting the config file error anymore...
