I have a Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z with a fixed 192.168.1.x IP address and when it reboots (either manual or scheduled) it momentarily gives itself a new ip address that is +1 from the fixed ip. Then it tries to make a UDP connection to 192.168.254.254 on port 69 and 9999 Whats it doing ?

I don't allow my Dahua HDW5231R-Z to connect to the Internet so I have to use a local time server. My Synology NAS runs a time server which works fine with the Hik cameras, but with the Dahua the clock will flick foward 1 hour and then back an hour, and sometimes it will just gain another hour...

Is there any trick to hammering cable clips into a brick wall as I seem to end up with loads of ruined nails. I'm assuming its going to be easier to hammer into the mortar between the brick but I seem to be left with a hole chipped out rather than the nail stuck in the wall :D
