Reading the spec sheets the newest Dahua NVR's are able to do AI processing on the back end (NVR side) and not have to rely on the camera to have the functions. Would this NVR based AI only work for Dahua cameras or does it work for cameras added in using ONVIF? I haven't found any...

It was always the same message on everyone's camera.
I remember there was this event late last year where people were hacking into Hikvision and Hikvision OEM cameras and leaving messages on the OSD. Hikvision came out with a firmware update to fix the issue. All that was needed to take the message off was go into the OSD menu and delete the...
From my testing, technically it is able to send a network signal at that range. The issue is the power side. It is not able to send POE power to that distance. So with the PTZ's drawing more power, that is probably the problem at that distance.
You can go with a LTD8308M-ETC. That is the model number that supersedes the model that you currently have. Will support analog cameras up to 2MP native resolution but will do up to 5MP Lite. An upgrade would be the LTD8508M-ST. This model will support up to 8MP so that helps to futureproof...
You can plug an external POE switch to the built in POE switch of the NVR but only one camera will plug and play. The other cameras on the switch will need to be manually added to the recorder. But do know that the built in POE ports on the recorder are 10/100 so there will be a bandwidth...
There are POE switches that have extend mode. For example the Hikvision ones have a switch to turn it on and it will go up to 820 feet depending on the quality of the networking cable and terminations. I believe the Dahua ones will be able to go even farther. Do note that the bandwidth is...
The Hikvision E-Series NVR does support audio. After installing the camera, just go into the settings and make sure it is set to "Video and Audio". By default it is set to "Video". If you want to have audio in the playback then under the recording schedule, there is an "advanced" button on...
There are two ways to do this.
1. The cell carrier can assign an IP address to the sim card. This is usually an added cost. Then you would just put in the IP address, port number, user name and password when adding to the NVR.
2. Make sure camera and NVR are the same manufacturer and is...
You should be able to add it in using ONVIF. So first activate the camera and give it a password, IP address. Then go into your Dahua NVR, select an available port and go into the settings for that port. Make sure to take it off of "plug and play" and put it on "manual". Then put in the IP...
That camera is compatible with that NVR. Note that the aspect ratio for the camera is very different than standard so the decoding may be an issue depending on what other cameras you have on the system. Is the camera not able to "plug and play" or are you just not able to see liveview/playback?
Annke had this special for Halloween. This was the best price I have seen so far. Do note that these have the plastic housings and not the metal ones that Hikvision and other OEM's carry.
This is the Hikvision equivlent for the 6MP PanoVu.
Here is the official junction box for that camera.
From my testing, it can use the same junction box as the DS-2CD2347GX cameras which is your colorvu turret.
The DVR takes a 12V 2amp power supply which is for powering up the recorder itself and the hard drive inside. The cameras should have their own 12v power supply. Since your DVR is not having any video out I would first measure the voltage of the power supply going to the DVR. It should be a...
Seems like you have a standard I-series NVR and not the Acusense which would be the NXI. I-series does not have any AI processing in it. It will have VCA which is the advanced detections like line crossing or intrusion. If you were wanting the human/vehicle detection or any of the more...
Hikvision's cameras are getting more confusing lately. What use to be cameras labeled as Acusense before meaning they have the AI algorithms to differentiate between human/vehicles. If you look at the new cameras that have come out.... What use to be a basic camera now comes with "Motion...
From my testing the new PTZ's have issues due to the new chipset inside. They have tried to modify the firmware to try to get it working but so far it doesn't seem to work. Keep looking on Hikvision's website for new firmwares in case they release an update that may finally get it working.
If the issue is primarily causing issues on your computer..... Are you running the latest software? On the top right corner of IVMS4200 there is a resources meter. Are any of those maxing out when you try to pull a stream? Also have you tried the hardware acceleration setting on the software...
What is the firmware on your E-series NVR? From what I remember 3.4.92 is the one I would recommend using. The latest is 3.4.96 which is suppose to be better and newer but there were a few quirks that made it less desirable. I don't recall which it was that made me recommended installing...
Use SADP to find out what is the IP address and the server port. Then in the Dahua NVR, find an empty channel and click edit. Take it off of "plug and play" and change to manual. Set protocol to ONVIF. Then put in the IP address, server port, username and password. Using this it will most...
Make sure the camera is set to H265+ as it will compress the video more so your 10mbps goes farther. Also check the max bitrate to make sure it is set to the amount wanted. One other setting I would check would be the FPS. Lowering that from the default full frame will help. Variable bitrate...
I believe the DVR (analog) will have the SMD on the recorder as it does the processing from the recorder itself. NVR's (IP) will have processing done from the camera side and then the metadata is sent to the recorder itself for processing. There are some NVRs that have the ability to process...
I don't show those models being EOL on the Hikvision USA website. With that being said, manufacturers are using different chipsets on a lot of those models due to the chip shortage. They will have the same features but end up being a little slower. If you click into the page for the model...
Depending on the budget, I have seen lots of people using Ubiquiti products with cameras. Either using an AP to boost the wifi signal for more of a mesh system or using their "AirMax" line for wirelessly beaming the video back to the recorder. With the "AirMax" antennas then can use any off...
Check the playback and see if it is doing that there also. It could be a number of issues.
-Decoding abilities of the unit. Set the video feeds in your liveview to substream and see if they are still doing that.
-Changing the bitrate type on the 3rd party cameras to CBR.
-Lower the FPS to...
From what I know, WBox is the ADI "OEM" brand made by Hikvision. If the secure codes don't work on it then try using SADP to export a file out to send in to someone that can convert it for you. They will send you the file back which you use to import back to the device to reset.
Yes it can be done. Log into the recorder either locally or over the web. You will need to go to the detection page (motion, line crossing, intrusion, etc). First will show the camera screen shot. You will notice that you also have two other tabs on that page. One is arming schedule. This...
Few things to check... Disconnect the cameras from the built in POE. Does it boot up properly? Open the case and unplug the hard drive power cable. What we are doing here is troubleshooting to see if it is a power issue if the power supply to the unit is weak.
Try both the VGA and HDMI...
@Parley is correct. "77" series vs "76" difference is only the hard drive spots. 4 vs 2. Do remember that with the NXI's (acusense) that they only have support for 4 dumb cameras to be used with the NVR's AI. Any camera after the 4 will require a camera with built in AI in order to have that...
