Android App Connection Issues

Hoping someone might be able to help me with app connection issue. Problem only started 5 days ago - when I try to connect to my BI server via the Android app, I immediately get an "Unable to connect to server" error - this happens on both LAN & WAN - if I restart my phone Samsung Galaxy S7, the app will connect straight away again as it should. However after a random amount of time I will be unable to connect again via the app. I can connect via UI3 at anytime without issue.
If I monitor the connections and messages tab on the BI server, I can see the phone connect, but when app fails it appears to assign my phone both my LAN IP and WAN IP - when it connects properly after phone restart, it shows my phone assigned LAN IP and the Sever my WAN IP. Any ideas as I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, deleting and setting up port again?
I have a Static WAN IP

Which version of BI on the server, 4 or 5 ?
Are both server and BI app of the latest update?
