Anyone having recent trouble getting Samsung Smartcam (SNH-P6410BN) to connect with Blue Iris?

All I'm getting now is RTSP 503 errors. Worked fine for the past few years with Blue Iris.

My video properties:

rtsp://ip address/onvif/profile5/media.smp

User Admin Password (my 8 digit number)

video path /onvif/profile5/media.smp

Media/video/RTSP port 554

Discovery/ONVIF port 8999

Make Generic
Model RTSP H.264/MJPG/MPEG4

Thanks for the help.

Can you open the stream in VLC media player?

I'd be surprised if Samsung pushed an update removing onvif support, but maybe the URL changed. You could try re-adding the camera to Blue Iris or at least run the "inspect" function.

Thanks for the help bp. How do you do that exactly in VLC player?

This is what I get when I do an inspect.
Opening 192.168.0.12 port 8999...
ONVIF GetSystemDateAndTime
HTTP 12029
Checking for common cameras...
Foscam FI86xx/98xx compatible?
Foscam FI89xx compatible?
Foscam FI9821 V2 compatible?
Foscam FI9821 media port compatible?
RTSP port open?
RTSP port detected!
Done

The rest of my cameras are Foscams.

When I try to add the camera again....it does the same thing.....RTSP 503 service unavailable.

In VLC you go to Media > Open Network Stream. "Media" is a tab located where the "File" tab usually is in other programs.

There, you can paste in the full rtsp URL (rtsp://ip address/onvif/profile5/media.smp)

If VLC can play the stream, then the problem is with Blue Iris (or your configuration somehow).

If VLC can't play the stream, then the problem is likely with the camera. Then you should download ONVIF Device Manager and see if that can play the stream. If it can, it should also tell you the rtsp URL.

Unfortunately, it does not work on either one. But, the camera connects to the Smartcam app on my phone and everything works fine there.

I heard that Samsung might have pushed an upgrade a while back that prevents it to work with BI..Like you I get the same errors.
The fact that you need a special plug in and only works with IE makes me suspicious. Samsung is now pushing for cloud storage!

I have a SNH-6414BN and and SNH6431BN. I finally got them to work with BI. Thanks to a post by luma in the SmartTiles forum

"For reference, if anyone is using the Samsung SmartCam HD Pro model SNH-P6410BN, these are the available RTSP streams that I’m aware of as of firmware 1.07. Everything else has apparently been disabled by Samsung.
1080P h264 30fps: rtsp:/admin:password@192.168.1.200/profile5/media.smp
720P h264 30fps: rtsp:/admin:password@192.168.1.200/profile4/media.smp
640x360 h264 30fps: rtsp:/admin:password@192.168.1.200/profile3/media.smp
640x360 h264 20fps: rtsp:/admin:password@192.168.1.200/profile2/media.smp
1080P MJPEG: rtsp:/admin:password@192.168.1.200/profile1/media.smp"

I had profile 5 working, but it flakes out. Profiles 1-4 work well and they also work as /onvif/profile#/

Also the password must be 8 characters or less.

I just had that issue...Sometimes it's the simple things.

Great job @mrbeamstx!

The above works well with latest firmware v.1.12 on a SNH-6414BN. I finally got it to work with a Hikvision NVR.
