hi, i setup a system with bi5, i have two cameras, and one is setup for alerts.
when i do a manual test with the alert it sends two screenshots to the email just fine.
when i walk in front of the camera it does not trigger.
is it a profile issue? or a schedule?
on the top left corner of the cameras it has a red 0.. is this normal?
and i look at the profiles and i dotn understand the temp time minutes or the until triggered radio button.

any ideas?
thanks
arlan

That red "0" (zero) is Profile 0 meaning that camera is inactive.
Please read pages 93-94 of BI's Help (attached below) regarding Profiles.

I decided to provide a more inclusive "help" file. Below (attached) are pages 92-97 which cover:
  • Shield, Profiles and Schedules
  • Run, Hold and Temporary Profiles
  • Camera Profile and Schedule Override

thanks. i figured out the alerts. finally have it alerting on motion.. the only issue i have left is, when somebody turns on the lights, it alearts. i need to make it ignore that. and only work on movement, not light changes.
any way to fix that?
thanks in advance

If not already doing so, it may help to use "Object Detection", not "Zones and Hot Spot" for the motion sensor settings.
Attached is BI's Help for "Motion Sensor", pages 43-47.

BTW, I have BI4 here at home, BI5 about 15 miles away so I cannot check right now...does your BI5 have built-in "Help" like what I've been attaching?
