Have anyone experienced things like sub streams reset, night mode color changes with no interaction? I have started to experience syubstrean 1 reset to 264h and substream 2 turns off. The consumer is using the streams over ffmpeg so no onvif

Some firmwares are problematic, and some cameras are sensitive to which browser the settings were configured with. And some just have bugs.

For most, Explorer is the best browser to ensure settings hold.

I have one camera that after a reboot the bitrate changes regardless of browser or any other attempt to fix.

Check for the camera you have in this forum for the firmware update posts and see what people are saying about the particular firmware version the camera is running.

It all depends on the cam and firmware version.

For example my Dahua 5231-ze cams with firmware v16, after a restart substream 1 resets to default and substream 2 gets disabled.

This is on IPC-HDW5231R-Z with V2.800.0000016.0.R - From what I remember that was the firmware they should run? Is it a firmware that is known to be better?

For me v16 was the best of the bunch, as I use the IVS in the cam v13 and v15 fro me where a no go as after a restart they enable the motion detection in the cam which sends BI crazy with alerts.

Have you tried clearing out the motion zone in the camera? then it doesn't matter if motion is on or off.

I don’t use the motion zone facility at all so have never configured anything, just restarting the cam enables whatever the default is and start sending BI events with even the slightest motion detected by the cam.

I have a 5231R-Z on V16 firmware. Every time it is powered down the sub stream defaults back to default. The only reason I saw this was that I've been working on the UPS arrangement and powered everything down, completely, a few times. Each time I ended up with 25FPS for the sub stream, sub stream #1. The main stream config held though and I do use IE when working on settings for it, too.

Hello,
These are my cams and they are all up-to-date, they keep shifting the sub stream after setting them.

Any solution?

I attached the model number.

I have one IPC-HDW2439TP-AS-LED-S2 camera that keeps switching to continuous video and snapshot recording:

I uncheck, save, and a few days later I notice the Storage filling and go to the camera and see the box is checked.

Unchecking from "Storage destination" doesn't help. the General box stays unchecked, but it keeps sending continuous footage to the FTP location.
