For the Foscam FI9826W, the latest available firmware (2.11.1.5) addresses the following issues and enhancements:
The procedure for upgrading to the latest version is as follows
- Supports uploading scheduled recordings onto an FTP server (without audio);
- Supports beeping on PC when motion is detected;
- Prompts to revise the default login credentials on the first login;
- Indicates password security level when changing/setting the camera password;
- Enables revision of the sub stream settings;
- Supports turning on/off the IR LEDs on a scheduled time;
- Supports a custom cruise time;
- Ability to customize cruise loops;
- Can configure pause time at each preset when cruising;
- Enhanced the security when using CGI commands to take a snapshot;
- Enhanced the SD card storage feature;
- Enhanced the ONVIF feature.
The procedure for upgrading to the latest version is as follows
- Firstly determine which firmware version currently exists on your FI9826W by checking under Settings > Device Status. You are looking for the "App Firmware Version"
- If you have App Firmware Version 1.11.1.21 or above, proceed to download and install the latest version 2.11.1.5 here.
- If you have App Firmware Version 1.11.1.20 or lower, first upgrade to 1.11.1.22 here and then to the latest version 2.11.1.6 here.
- Please follow carefully the instructions contained in "Upgrade guidance for FI9826W.pdf" included in each download. Failure to install the firmware correctly could result in bricking your camera. If you are unsure on how to proceed, please stop immediately and ask on the forum.
