Looking for some expertise in this forum, probably someone can help me out.
situation is as follows, i have been asked by a foreign company who supplied and installed 8x analog Cam to a Hikvision DVR model DS-7208HUHI-KI with a built-in HDD of 2 TB.
This DVR is connected to a second DVR via LAN which is situated in another room to a monitor.
I could figure out that the LAN cable was not connected correctly, i have changed the wiring to a so called cross-cable and am able to monitor network traffic.
The config is as follows :

DVR 1: IPv4 : 10.16.5.102
Subnet mask 25.255.255.0
Gateway : 10.16.5.254 (as the DVR's are not connected to a internet gateway i guess this doesn't affect).
MTU: 1500
firmware : V3.5.35 build 180316

Enable UPnP
Mapping type :
HTTP Port 80
RTSP port 554
Server Port 8000
HTTPS port 443

DVR 2: IPv4 : 10.16.5.104
Subnetmask : 255.255.255.0
Default gateway : 10.16.5.2545
MTU:1500
Firmware : V3.5.11 Build 170525
Enable UPnP

When i do a LAN Traffic test i can see Linking status succeeded and network traffic.
on both DVR-s i can see a blinking LED for network traffic and on DVR 1 also a RED LED for recording.
the second DVR is not having a HDD for recording.

Anybody who can point me in the right direction to get a picture on DVR-2 ???.
Many thanks in advance.

As your information, you need add No.1 dvr as normal ipcamera on N0.2 DVR.At fist change No.2 DVR channel mode to network mode and then search and add all No.1 dvr channels.

Thanks for your reply.
Have been working on the system today as client was not available last few days.
I was able to get 4 cameras on the remote, not all 8 which seems to be a limitation on the DVR.
when i checked the DVR system i could see that only max. 4 remote cameras are allowed to connect, probably due to bandwidth issues.
At least for the client it was OK.
One thing i do know that Hikvision is a brand with too much complications to setup, normally i do work with Axis and Bosch cameras which are way easier to setup.
