Hello everybody,
I am just trying to make a decision and have read a lot here. Unfortunately I have been confronted with new questions and I hope you can answer them.

On the Hikvision side I found the following models:
DS-2DE4A220IW-DE -2MP
DS-2DE4A320IW-DE -3MP
DS-2DE4A425IW-DE -4MP

My Questions
1. The pictures from article # 41 # 42 and # 71 are all from the DS-2DE4A220IW-DE -2MP?
2. All three cameras should be identical, except the resolution specifications. I think so. So all three cams should have the same quality, functions and night vision quality (except the differences in resolution).
is that right or does any model have any disadvantages?

I ask because I only get 2 camera models for really very little money.
DS-2DE4A425IW-EN -4MP or
DS-2EN4225IW-EN -2MP

Does anybody have experience and pictures with theDS-2EN4225IW-E.This should be better than the DS-2DE4A220IW-DEmodel or not?
It just has no face detection / auto tracking. But is has the the double IR range of 100 instead of 50 meters
So maybe the night vision is better?

I hope you can help me. Thank you for your time, best regards

Je te suis très reconnaissant de ton aide.
But the DS2DE4A220IW-DE isnt low light. It is like all the other mentiones cams 0.05Lux / F1.6
Only the Darkfighter Models with 0.002Lux are low light. or am I wrong?

The 4mp is not what you should care about, its the fact that its a low light sensor. Will be much better than the 3mp version. Check to see if they have low light versions in 3/2mp as well.
This statement confuses me too.
No matter if 2, 3 or 4 mp. The cameras are the same, according to the data sheet

It turns out that the Dahua DH-SD49225T-HN is the third option. But on paper it is very similar to the DS-2EN4225IW-EN. Both 0.005Lux, 2MP, 25x Zoom, F1.6-F3.5, 4.8mm to 120mm
For the Dahua I find a lot of information here in the forum, pictures and videos. But nothing for the Hikvision. I Also like more the support and doku from dahua
The last point is the software / firmware / WebUI. I do not know which one is better or more user friendly.

Can someone recommend something or even knows both cameras?

Does anyone use the alarm inputs to trigger a camera movement to a different preset? I've got it working fine with 2 exceptions.

1) When alarm input is triggered, camera moves correctly to new preset location. However, I cannot get it to stay there for more than 20 seconds. In the camera configuration, if you try to enter more than 20 seconds, it defaults back to 20. I want the camera to stay at the new preset location until movement is no longer there. I'd settle for a fixed time of 2-3 minutes, but I can't enter more than 20 seconds.

2) When 20 seconds is up, it returns to preset #1 instead of where it was positioned prior to being triggered. Any way to overcome this? The solution was to change my default location to preset 1. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to have the camera reset back to where it came from instead of always returning to preset #1.[/QUO.

Did you have any luck with this. I too have triggered the ptz to go to a preset on Akram from another turret camera and would like it to stay a little longer or if ptz detects movement to stay then move back to default preset. But I can't figure out how.

Hey guys,
I am interested in buying the DS-2DE4A220IW-DE and having some questions for the smart tracking experts. ;)

Inspired by the configuration in the screenshot (see attached picture)...

1) I have two presets, parking and garden. I would like to activate smart tracking for the first preset parking like in the screenshot. What happens if I trigger the preset garden externally by Synology Surveillance, is the camera looking to the garden without smart tracking then? When I trigger back to parking smart tracking is active again?
2) Is it possible to activate smart tracking for two or more presets?
3) Is there a way to configure an exclusion zone in the picture of smart tracking or is the only way to zoom in in the chosen preset?

Thanks ;)

I have the DS2DE4A220 and DS2DE4A204 installed together.
The 220 is a good night-time performer.
The 204 is a fantastic night-time performer.
I operate both cameras in DAY MODE:

If I had my time again, I would use both 204 cameras.

220 is more appropriate for industrial / rural setting, with longer distances involved.
