I've been doing plenty reading here as I'm trying to set up my mum with a decent quality cctv system, the main aim in quality is because I'm fed up of rubbish playback and lack of definition.
For starters, I'm just wanting good foundations. That is a decent recorder that can record at least 15-20fps on a full 8 channels of 3 or 5mp cameras.
I've not bought the cameras yet so this is a new build system.
My last alleged HD system installed at home was ok to look at on an app and even the monitor but when it comes to requiring footage, it's then I realise it's not quite detailed enough to be used as evidence, it merely gives an indication of detail.
So this time, I'd like to start with a good recorder, the same shop I trusted for my home system are now pushing Hikvision and I'm hearing good things about Hiks, but the Hikvision website has great stats for camera 1 but what if all 8 channels are full?
Please could someone suggest a capable recorder?
