I wonder if this is something my router is clamping down on. The port is open (otherwise I wouldn't get anything at all), but I wonder if some router firewall rule is triggering on single camera views / alerts / recordings?

I also tested UI3 with my admin account. Same behavior. Nothing has been changed in the User profiles.

On a more recent version of Blue Iris (5.5.1.20), the initial UI with all the cameras looks fine, with the exception of no alerts on the left. All the cameras are visible and are updating live. However, clicking a camera now produces a red error in the bottom right, "Server is unavailable"...

Sorry for resurrecting an old post... but this had me confused for about half an hour until I saw this. If you're trying to export a clip, and you right-click on your clip in the list of clips, the option to "Convert / Export" will be grayed out. You need to double-click the clip (to view it)...

A smart hub (I use a Samsung Smartthings) can help with this, but there's a steep learning curve to getting it to do exactly what you want it to do. For starters, you'd set up door sensors to detect any exterior door opening, which would then trigger BlueIris to start recording the camera...
