Ok thanks @biggen. I’ll give it a go. Sometimes my wireless is so unstable. If I had to hardwire would what I had initially suggested work too.

So on the iPad basically open Safari and enter the cameras ip address. Leave that open and displaying the live view. Much like logging in remotely via VPN.
