So, Q2U, has this camera been reliable so far? No crashing, freezing, video corruption in Blue Iris, needing rebooted, or anything like that? Or have you not had it plugged in long enough to tell? I finally got rid of my last unreliable cams a year ago and I don't really want to add more, but the low light ability of this one would be nice to have.

My LBW90S500 has been plugged in for two (2) weeks 24x7 @bp2008 my friend, and -- so far -- not one issue. Hermine's going to beat on it for a couple of days but, at this point in time, I'd have to pin a "Rock Solid" label on it Brian.

You just had to say something, didn't you. :)
Hmm, My camera did come yet, and your start talking? Not good, i had the "no signal" and if you on the road your stuck, can't pull the cable out to reset it, unless i tell my dog to do it!

Anyway looking at the tracking that i got from Longse, bro in 3 days from the date it left looks like my package is visiting every post office in the same city for a final goodbye! :eek:h:

It should arrive on the Sept 8-16 hope fully.

Last night, for the first time, my LBW90S500 threw a "No Signal" in Blue Iris; manually rebooting the camera by disconnecting its cable at the POE switch resolved the issue.

:(

I'm sorry to hear that. I used to have three 5MP chinese cameras (bought in 2012) that would do the same. After a few weeks (sometimes months) at random, they would stop streaming and in fact stop responding entirely, so I would have to power cycle them. I could cycle them remotely via the managed PoE switch, but that didn't stop me from swapping them for Dahua 4MP models with inferior night vision.

I don't suppose the 'scheduled reboot' is active in the camera configuration?
Though a reboot would only drop the video transiently.

@bp2008 Good bad news! Or is it bad good news? smiley24.gif

Any way, it appears that the problem lies with POE Port 4 of my POE switch. Bad port! Good camera!

@Q2U I ordered 2 of these last week from AliExpress based on your favorable review. How long does it usually take for them to ship them out? I'm just curious because haven't received anything from them since I placed the order and I don't think they celebrate Labor Day.

If you ordered from "Shenzhen Topxel Electronics Tech Co Ltd" then it takes a V E R Y L O N G T I M E. There an AliExpress timer that counts down and auto-cancels the order if the AliExpress vendor hasn't shipped by the end of the countdown. Shenzhen Topxel Electronics seems to wait to the very end of the countdown to ship. I would suggest that you send Shenzhen Topxel Electronics a *polite* email asking when the order will ship and stating that, if it doesn't ship soon you are going to have to cancel because you will be leaving on a trip soon. Be polite...remember that they are Chinese, not Americans so direct, frank and to-the-point may not have the same cultural effect that it does on a Yank.

After 24 hours on the new switch port there is no more "lost signal" issues with my Longse LBW90S500 Cyclops...and now that I think of it...I had my Longse LRDC60S500 RoboCat plugged into that same switch port (#4) and was getting the same Blue Iris "No Signal" error on the LRDC60S500. At the time I thought the LRDC60S500 was going bad and rebooting the switch always corrected the problem. Bad port...good cameras...confirmamundo!

@Q2U Glad you found it! I once had a chattering NIC in the wife's desktop computer, and it had me chasing gremlins in my home network for over two weeks.

@Q2U, Are you using the Longse LBW90S500 with BI?

Just received it today and it works fine at 192.168.1.172 in mozilla , and i got it to work for few minutes in BI and then i get no signal, hmmm.

Not sure what ....is wrong.

Thanks!

The problem is...you! :)
Not me ! :rapture:
It was the cam settings! for some reason in camera setting, under video > codec > it was at .h265 and i can see camera at ip directly and also on my phone with their freeip app, but my NVR or the computer with BI could not see it, no video out!
Now by setting to .h264 it works :loyal:!

But i can say this camera is really good and i m impressed by it! It covers all my backyard from left to right , front to back and the night vision is good too!

Have you modified some of the settings for night and day to get a better picture?

My experience with Longse/Amanda regarding getting the camera was: from the time ordered it took 5 days to process, build the camera and ship, then 7 days to arrive.

Thanks!
