What windows machine are you using? Whats your configuration
I use dell optiplex or hp elitedesk business machines. All are second generation intel i processors or later. Most are haswell based i5's. Available for 200-300 dollars. No junk loaded, clean windows 10 installs.
Running blue iris software.

yeah if you turn off auto updates and setup the server correctly and dont try to use it for anything other than BluIris.. if you want to casually surf for porn from your BI server all bets are off.

fenderman here has alot of BI instances running and he and others here will help you get it running well.

What nayr said. You need to buy a reliable machine, not some 5 year old trash outdated server... Also note that milestone essentials will be free for up to 8 cameras starting October 10.

Ok,after many attempts i got hold of the factory that makes all these generic nvr's, called the factory and they toldme my model exacly uses firmwareV4.02.r11.06122119.12001.130000 and the file is SimpGeneral_General_NBD7808T-PL_V4.02.R11.Nat.OnvifC.20160901 , that was the one it had before i got i to this problem, they sentme a link, but it wont update after the other firmware, it shows that is updating but boots back to the previous one, time and time again , wont allow update, why?how can i change the firmware?
