Of course we've all heard about the mini-ptz's having issues with overheating and such, but haven't really seen much feedback on the Huisun/Imporx speed domes. I know a number of people chose that option along with (or instead of) the mini-ptz. Have there been any failures reported with these or have they been holding up well?

Hello, I have a speed dome imporx for 6 months and it works perfectly well, just about concerns of autofocus following the various modes (10 cm, 30cm, 1m, 1,5 m, 3m, 6m, inifini) I have only the 10cm which is perfectly clear.
Others are fuzzy.

If a ptz cannot autofocus properly I would not say its working "pretty well"...Its useless...

they are too closely priced to Dahua's PTZ's, your money is much better spent on them.. mine's been up for over 2 years and never given me a single problem and is always in focus.

My speed dome is having problems...have had it for 4 mos. The IR lights do not work and the wiper does not move. When manually turning on the IR lights, I hear a click but the lights don't go on. Trying to resolve the problems through Huisun...so far to no avail.

Thanks for the comments. Definitely makes me a little leery.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the only thing I can find in this price range with a wiper. If the Dahua domes in the $400-$600 range had wipers, it would be an obvious choice....but from what I've seen, you have to go well over $1000 with Dahua to get a wiper; Two, to in some cases, over 3 times the price.

And I bought 2 of these, + duties. I'm starting to think this was a bad buy :(

Well, are they showing any signs of problems? Not sure how many here purchased these, but so far, only one report here of them breaking. Only time will tell, I guess.

Correct, I have yet to put the two in service. I upgraded the firmware in hops that they would start working on the Hikvision NVR PTZ controls but it's been futile so far.
