@Bapski I looked at your installation and believe the watchdog folder monitor is slowing down your BIT. Please try keeping that disabled and see if that helps. I don't see any issues with BIT, otherwise.

For everyone else who may be having similar issues...The issue with @Bapski not receiving wind direction was due to the weather station not reporting it.

thank you for your time.

I MAY have found the main culprit as well, ME!. I was logging in to my BI server remotely and everytime Im done tinkering with BI/BIT settings I would log out so this essentially was closing BIT as well. hence when I log back in, it took a long time to open BIT GUI along with the WATCHDOG FOLDER monitor enable.

after I realized this, I log-in remotely and not log-out and so far my WEATHER OVERLAY is up to date... (fingers crossed)..

thanks again for your time...

My pleasure. Just keep BIT open all the time and you won't have any issues.

No more TeamViewer or UltraViewer to provide direct BIT support, I'm building it in :D More details to follow.

Multiple locations is still preliminary, I don't expect it to be done in the next update. BIT Remote will be, though.

Sorry for the delay, been sick as a dog. I am planning on incorporating a remote restart of BI functionality into the new BIT Remote section :)

Alerts should be working unless they are configured wrong as I don't really hear of other users having issues with alerts. Which alert isn't working? I HIGHLY suggest setting up Pushover, that's what I use on all my BI machines and it's flawless.

Another update - looks like multiple weather updates may be ready sooner than later. I made really great progress on it, but the amount of stations will be limited for several reasons...Most likely to 20 - 30.

Stupid question. Built myself a new BI box, backed up my old BIT config, but can't for the life of me find where to import it?

I misunderstood the question as updating bi itself...simply replace the settings file created in the backup with the settings file in program file x86>blue iris tools.

Ah got it. So the backup actually created 3 files. Lang (empty folder), stations.ipct, and settings. Moved all 3 to the new systems BIT folder overwriting the old stuff) and walaa were back in biz.

Been running BIT for a while now and have a question about the weather automatically updating. It seems that BIT will not update the weather until the computer is logged in. I have it set to start with Windows, however it is not updating. Is this expected behavior or am I missing something?

Yes, thatis normal because BIT doesn't run as a service by default - something I have been wanting to add for a while and hopefully will.

Hey Mike!
I'm obviously doing something wrong. I've been using noip.com as my ddns provider for some time now using their tool to update my hostname. Today, I figured that since I'm using your great tool anyway, why not have it do this as well. In BIT, I selected noip.com and filled in Hostname, Username/E-Mail, and Password. Then I selected Enabled and did the Manual Update/Test. I get a popup box that says, Error #5 - Invalid procedure call or argument. I checked, rechecked and re-rechecked my info for the hostname, username, and password. Does the Error #5 message give a clue as to what I've done wrong?

Thanks!
