sounded like she wanted this for general security.. if your rural with a long driveway; its very hard to beat the comfort of a good reliable driveway alarm.. you can be locked and loaded before they even put there foot on the brake petal :p

grandma is still kicking ass and taking names; now we dont scare the piss out of her sneaking around the house and knocking on windows.. luckily I got this up and running before anyone got shot.

yep thats what I installed, was very simple.. she already had an old external telephone bell in kitchen and I just put this next to it and even used the same power supply.

I recommended one of these to a friend here whom lives high up in mountains all year, in the middle of the winter he noticed car lights through the trees at 2am out his kitchen window as he was getting a drink.. grabbed his shotgun and hid in the trees outside and a few mins later a vehicle creeped up with lights out (he had like a mile long drive).. out stepped 3 armed felons and he unloaded his shotgun into the front of the car taking out the window and a headlamp.. they bailed down the valley where the sheriff was waiting and took em all to jail, just the guns were enough that he didnt even have to make a statement.. they were raiding empty cabins and had he not been at the window when he was he'd of never seen em coming.. With all the weed he was growing in there the'd of left a body behind I'm quite certain.

When help's far away, advance warning is a great thing.. now I dont have one of these installed at my house but both grandma and friend never reported any issues to me and I ask em how its working out regularly.. both are extremely happy last I checked.

Put in a hidden kill switch only you know where the switch is and use aircraft cable harder to cut with a bolt cutter, after that get good insurance and if stolen a new one you shall recieve.
