@fenderman Thanks :)

These are LTS brand cameras. I am able to view them remotely through the LTS app, let's say I am at your house, and want to view the cameras, I can sort of do it.

I guess the cameras are connected to the ISP router because they need some sort of internet connection for remote viewing?

you guys are so helpful

any picks on the championship games today

Yes, they must have internet connection to view remotely

These are the test options I get when I log on to the PACE ISP DIAGNOSTICS tab

Which tests should I run to determine the load etc. the technician told me it was 90% something, I don't remember, I need to text him :)

How do I make sure the router software is up to date? i.e. the latest version?

@nayr @Ryan00 @hmjgriffon @fenderman

Are you all asleep?

I tried to add the PTZ camera to the NVR (not the PoE switch) but it says Cannot add another IP camera or something like that

I know that is an error because there are only 9 cameras of 16 slots - 6 direct to the NVR and 3 via the PoE

I know the technician dude had the same issue and fixed it with the help of LTS support, but I am not that smart, and you guys are way smart and know a lot

Any thoughts on how to fix this please?

plug it into the PoE switch and see if you can find it on the network w/out the NVR, if not you'll need to setup the camera for your network.. what's the camera?

@nayr here you go

100_0803.JPG

Let me know if you need more pictures

why is the NVR giving that error? It happened before, and not all channels are used.

I will try to connect it to the PoE switch and see

tks

ah you got a Huisun, we have a subforum here for that camera.. go look there, lots of ppl got it working w/Hikvision (LTS) NVR's.

I dont have that camera nor that nvr so my usefullness is going to be poking in the dark.

What does link test and link tree show? Did the tech say it was 90% cpu or 90% bandwidth? A status page of some sort would be awesome, showing you how much of everything is being utilized.

@nayr @hmjgriffon

SO I tried to connect it to the PoE as well, you know, the Trendnet which I pictured. No luck. Maybe the little CAT5 wire I am using is bad?

The camera has two connectors. I put the CAT 5 in one, see above.

What is the other connector for? I thought it will get power with just CAT5

@nayr thank you, I will make an inquiry there

is that camera PoE capable? did it say 802.3at/af anywhere in specs?

iirc the ones with internal poe's self destructed the second they got remotely warm so they went with external PoE 12v splitters.. might be one of those in the box, if not u might needa buy it separately.

Is it white face or black face? Both had poe issues but the black face really sucked on poe and @nayr is correct they eventually didn't support and starting shippng a poe splitter for 12vdc as a "workaround". You should probably realize you are going through a bit of work here and there is a high likelyhood the Huisun camera will fail, if it works at all. I'd try a 12vdc supply first and see if it does the power up dance.

Yup. Some have been lucky with them, like me. But it's really about reliability and I wouldn't trust it to be there in a pinch.
But since the OP has one, might as well get it going. Let's think good thoughts!

Nayr has a better camera on his cat litter box...

right there with you, I have a buddy who has a cheap analog setup from like lowes or somewhere, I keep trying to talk him into ip cams, he doesn't want to spend the money, he also has 3 giant attack dogs and neighbors who are always home and armed though so he's not too worried. Some cameras is certainly better than none, at least you can see if something is going on. If someone is on a budget I will try to help them get the best setup they can for whatever money they are willing to or can afford to spend.

its actually only on the catdoor/feeder, thats why I have outdoor cats even with the persistent coyote/raccoon threat.. no shit boxes in the house.. until one gets injured and we lock the catdoor down.. grandparents tried to give our kids a sandbox and I was like lol hell no.

Hey,

It is the YC 11O AR

Here are some links about it. I believe it is PoE compatible.

Aliexpress.com : Buy Hot Sell 2016 New Arrival Rotary Bullet PTZ Camera with Onvif 1080P MINI PTZ IP Camera 10X ZOOM IR 80M outdoor cctv IP Camera from Reliable camera scanner suppliers on imporx company

Mini PTZ 2nd Gen: 2016 PTZ Camera of the year!

It is the white plate model

I do not see a POE splitter. I just see one wire coming out of the base of the camera, it has a RJ45 socket one one wire, and the DC on the the other, like the picture below

Thank you

That's so you can run the camera with a wall plug, if you have Poe you don't need the DC plug
