What are the proper rstp and snapshot URLs for this?

Can someone also verify that they work in vlcplayer on their setup ?

Snapshot: http://username:password@host/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi
works perfectly fine in VLC

Nayr, does that snapshot URL work for you with the latest firmware update?

I downloaded a BI demo, got 4 cams set up with it yesterday.
Then all of them are getting "No signal" today, and I can't figure out what could've made this happen.. I just added an NTP server on my BI machine and pointed all of them to it on the LAN. that's about it..
I am able to get vlc to show the rstp streams (on the same BI machine).
Now I deleted all the cams and added one again with inspect and still no signal!

any quick clues? Spent a few hours and it's driving me crazy.

Anyone know the size (and a source of) the set screw used for this camera? I, of course, dropped one - never to be seen again. :(

take the base into ace hardware, they have a nice selection of stuff like this.. probably wont be a torx though, but worst case you'll figure out the thread type.

I dropped mine as well and spent about 10 minutes looking for it. It was about 10pm and somewhere in a mulch bed. Luckily I found it. Thought about using a magnet but I'm not sure if it's stainless steel or not? I also regret only ordering one of these cameras.

@nayr how come your snapshot says "dahua Technology" , whereas our says a generic "IP Camera" or some such? Is yours "branded" ? or did you overwrite firmware?

We also get pointed to the NACL Web Plug-in , which shows up as a generic "WEB SERVICE"

Nayr with your new dahua NVR are you recording off these with H.265 ? No issues there? What kind of bit rates do you get per camera?

yes, not with any dahua apps, between 2500-4097Kbps depending on the camera here at night time.. Its dramatically less if I enable SmartCodec you loose IVS and im not giving it up for disk space.

the h265 files wont feed right into YouTube, and the Dahua convert tools dont seem to help.. Have to use Handbrake to convert em into something standard.

low grade Stainless has some content of carbon which will be attracted to Magnets 316L / Marine Grade generally are not

For any other clumsy folks out there:

1. It's stainless (a magnet won't help)

2. The size is #10-32 x 3/8"

3. A 2-pack was $0.90 at my local Home Depot
Interesting I'd have expected metric.

Yes. Gotta be sure . Quite possible to also mistake "this fits tight and gets stuck" for "fits tight and right". Someone should take out one of the original screws and try it in those screw templates at HD/Lowes etc.
Unless we can actually get the spec sheet for this.

electronics and wiring rarely uses metric, conduit fittings and stuff on the junction boxes are all standard pipe threading.
