4.5.1 - February 13, 2017

  • Stability issues with Ethernet based SeaLevel devices have been addressed. A driver issue eventually causes a software crash and appropriate work-around measures have been implemented.

  • Stability and quality issues with ReoLink cameras have been addressed. A firmware issue causes RTSP quality and device instability. However, newer versions of the ReoLink firmware support RTMP streaming instead, and this appears to work well. A new make/model device entry has been added for this on both the Video/Network and PTZ tabs. You must still set the camera's H.264 encoding to "base line."

  • The 64-bit version of the software no longer appears to run on Vista 64 bit. This may be due to a number of OS updates and DLL incompatibilities which we are unable to resolve. The preferred solution would be upgrade to Windows 10 64-bit, but we have found that the software does continue to run on 32-versions of both Vista and XPSP3 (or you may select 32-bit when installing the software even on the 64-bit OS).

  • The software is now compiled with Microsoft's latest Visual Studio 2017 RC.

  • Video components updated

BI 4.5.1.0 - 4.5.1.2 Reolink 410 RTMP audio does not work properly. I reverted back to RTSP, I tested via RTMP Player - HLSPlayer and sound plays correctly. I've already reported it via e-mail, just adding here just incase anybody searches.

The RMTP fixed the major issue with video loss and blur, but, the audio suffered. As late as today my audio was choppy. However, I just updated to the new firmware from Reolink released today and am testing it on one camera set back to RTSP. Now we wait...

cURL method (day/night...) doesn't work on 4.5.1.1. Rolled back to 4.5.1.0 and emailed Ken.
Not sure if this relates to your problem, but I noticed that my cameras weren't switching from day to night. I think this happened with 4.5.1.1. In Camera Properties\Schedule\Event Schedule, I found that the function had been cleared in the "Edit camera control event" window. I had to repopulate it. See attached image.

I just installed the 4.5.1.4 update and it seems to have fixed the audio and some stability issues (4.5.1.3 was pretty bad) using RTMP with my Reolink 410 cameras. I need to get out and test to see if RTMP still fixes the motion blur. I would have preferred iframe but if this works I'll take what I can get so I don't have to throw these cameras away.

I noticed the same thing after manually downloading and upgrading to v4.5.1.6. I was about to roll back to a previously downloaded working version and noticed the PTZ Preset had been cleared from my Event Schedule tab for each camera. Working as expected now after re-setting it.
