I've seen some threads where users are adding an internal SSD taped/velcroed internally. Is there enough room to move the 3.5" thin HDD it comes with to that area instead?

Thanks

You must mount a hdd to the case because otherwise the excess vibration with damage it..
Why do you want to do this?

Oh yeah... I was just wanted to possibly use the HDD it comes with instead having to purchase a SSD. But the SSD having no moving parts is why they are doing that... makes total sense...

The ssd will make everything run super smooth, its worth it...the latest gen 5040 and 7040 systems have an m2 slot so you might be better off using that instead of a 2.5 ssd.

I jumped on a 3040 SFF i7-6700 for 415 shipped from the dell outlet. I think I saw you mention in another thread that the 3040's don't have the second m2 slot right?
