They are not made to use that way. Use the web GUI or smartpss to set the field of view you need. Then let it be.
Thanks man. I wasn't using it as a ptz camera. I was just using BI to zoom to get the site picture I wanted. Just strange one out of the four worked different.

Anyone using this turret with a Hikvision NVR and able to adjust motion detection settings?

Can the this turret cam be mounted vertically (like on a wall) instead on the bottom of an eave? If I'm not mistaken, the lens can be adjusted perpendicular to the mount.
I've got one watching one of the driveways that is mounted vertically, no problems.

Then I might just have to go after the Dahua-route then. I was liking the Hikvision footage though, based on the samples :D

I guess this also means time for a Dahua-NVR. That's the tricky part on my end here in the US, who to get in contact with. My overall budget is undefined, lol

Has anyone tried using the Amcrest NV4108E NVR? It says compatible with Dahua cameras, not sure if that includes this turret-style though. Also, I hear the firmware updates on that NVR are a bit outdated in-spite of it still being sold.

Thanks, I still want a couple of Hikvision cameras to complement my setup. I find the image quality to be sharper. If only both Dahua and Hik can do the proper handshake over one of the two NVR's, haha. I'm deciding between the DHI-NVR52A08-8P-4KS2 NVR and the DS-7608NI-E2/8P-2TB NVR. Cameras to be added separately. I have spare 1TB HDD, I can just lower the resolution of each individual cam. :D

AmCrest are Dahua's under the skin, that NVR looks like its the previous version this (non -4KS2) with a different case: NVR4104/4108HS-P-4KS2 | Dahua Technology

I would expect this camera to work just fine w/that NVR

Hello Nayr,or anyone else, can one of you please post a pic of the camera at full range? A long distance shot, for me?I'd like to see it at full distance. That would be awesome! :)

Silly question, but do all the Dahua cameras that come from overseas via this seller come without the Dahua-logo?

Mine from Empire Tec were also not labeled. Working great.

I'm finally healed up enough that I can start thinking about running the wiring for my cameras!

I'm planning to mount one to the front of the garage; I think a hole in the stucco large enough to pass cat-6 would be enough, then I can just mount the camera bracket directly to the wall. I see some mentioning they've tucked all the wiring behind the camera; curious if that is with the waterproof ethernet connector installed?

I've got a couple spots to mount where I need to surface mount on a stucco wall and run conduit up to the soffit area.
I'm thinking either a PFA139. Does anyone the size of the holes? 1/2" standard electrical fittings?
Other option would be a PFB204W if it has provision for connection of conduit; any comments here?
