I've got 2.460.0000.1 NTSC on my turret and the 5216-4ks2 with 3.210.0002.2. I set up IVS for abandoned object but couldn't do it via the web interface on the NVR. I could get to the IVS page on the NVR but nothing worked on the page. It wouldn't let me click on anything or change which channel I wanted to configure. A guy in another thread suggested it worked for him using IE8, but I dug out an old machine at work with IE8 and it didn't make a difference. I was able to set up the rule just as I wanted using the OSD on the NVR though. There is obviously some kind of bug with the web interface and IVS. Although I'm not sure if it's related to the camera firmware or the NVR's.
Great info: Same nvr, same firmware, same behavior. I loaded the 2.460.0002.2 pal firmware into the camera and it didn't fix anything. The upgrade went smoothly, all of my configuration settings appear to be unchanged, and the camera is now pal-only. I did have to reinstall the web components. Using the OSD, when first trying to access the IVS configuration I get the message "channel 6 does not support configuration search or modification", and none of the settings are usable. If I select a different camera where IVS setup works ok, then reselect the problem camera, the settings begin to work. Existing rules set up directly on the camera are not shown. It will let me set up a new rule, act like all is good, but when I go direct to the camera the new rule isn't there. Since my chinese market cameras work ok with the IVS setup, I'm guessing the bug is in the camera as opposed to the nvr.
That's all I used, I prefer to have the connection under an eve or inside of a junction box or something but I think the sealing electrical tape should be fine if it gets rained on?
I was hooking up my first camera today and ran into a snag with the waterproof boot.
I'm using regular rj45 crimp connectors on my cat 6, and they're too big to fit in the boot included with the camera.
Anyone have this issue? I wouldn't have thought there would be any big difference in rj45 connectors.
I guess I'll just pick up some self vulcanizing electrical tape and seal it up with that.

So you can't close the boots either? There just isn't enough room for the RJ45 connector.
I don't even try to use those things lol. When I looked at it, it didn't look like it would be totally sealed anyways.

From the picture it looks to me like you're trying to use only one of the two pieces that make up the cable end of the boot. The piece in your picture screws onto the back of the other larger piece to snug up the seal around the cable. The actual seal and bayonet connector to the camera cable is in the other piece. Of course, to add the other piece you'll have to cut the rj45 off first :-(

In the electrical section of many local hardware stores, they sell "liquid electrical tape". It is typically a short jar with a brush attached to the cap. I brush that on just at the junction and let is sit for 20 minutes or so, typically dry to the touch at that point. When swapping out a camera later, it peels off without too much effort. Smells terrible when wet, but makes a waterproof seal (according to the label).

Your smartPss looks different from mine. Mac version, I assume? I think I've got the latest Windows version, and it doesn't give access to the nvr schedule, which I do ok with on the web interface. That's not the setting I'm looking for, which is "record channel" on the IVS page, where you can select more than one camera to trigger on an event. My Windows smartPss is 1.16.1, dated 1-19-17.
Maybe the Mac versioning is different? 1.16 is the newest I saw on their site too
