Am I missing something?

So I've been sitting here for a while trying to figure out how to get geofencing enabled. I'm running BI 4.4.7.4x64 and have the mobile version on my android - v2.0.44.

I've been looking at videos and help files and they all seem to have something in the setting section of the mobile app to allow setting geofence coordinates. I can't find a setting for that on my phone. There's a 'reset geofences' choice in the information tab but no place to set one up.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

mark

Ahhh - there it is. Thanks. I had assumed it worked like some geofencing mobile apps where you stand where you want the fence coordinates to be and take a reading.

So with those coordinates set (and it appears I'd already set them) are there any other settings I need? Or do I just need to set up the appropriate profile then keep location services on and BI Mobile running? At the moment for testing purposes all I want to do is push a notification sound to my phone to verify it's working.

Thanks very much!

Sorry - was offline for a few days - almost went through withdrawal.

Anyways - I'm still not getting this. This is what I've done.

I've created a second profile in BI and clicked 'enable' - I imagine that enables scheduling it's a bit vague.
I entered the GPS coordinates of my home taken straight off my phone sitting in my kitchen - I was using a Garmin handheld before that's more accurate but figured it would be best to use my phone for both. I entered these coordinates on the schedule page.

On the mobile io page I deleted all devices then connected from BI mobile. My device showed up in the list. So far so good.

I ticked the checkbox by my phone.

On this screen it has a dash under geofence but it does have a device ID. I went into enter geofence and exit geofence for my device and set push notifications on both so I would get an indication of this working.

But it never seems to see me entering or leaving the geofenced area, though - and the 'geofence' column never changes.

Is there another step I'm missing?

Thanks in advance,

mark
