I cannot remember where I got these cams from exactly, 1 came from ebay with me been told not to update.

The 2nd one came from a similar source, probably Ali, so I presumed that was the same. However, I noticed the WR in the serial number.

Is this a dead cert that I can update it one version at a time or do Chinese cams come with the WR code?

Thanks.

CCWR should be OK to update.
CCCH will likely revert to Chinese or fail with a language mismatch.
And as you say - don't skip the intermediate versions. Hikvision recommended 5.2.0 to 5.3.0 to 5.4.0 and presumably now 5.4.5

WR in the serial, or any other bootparam value as reported by the camera does not mean anything. Hacked cameras often display WR instead of the original CH. Serial number sticker on the camera and the box it came in is a more reliable indicator.
