Several people have posted about this off and on. Some have sent them the info with certain info blacked out and others have just canceled the order, created another AE account, and used a different card. This normally only seems to happen with bank cards and not major credit cards like Visa/Amex. I've always used Amex cards and never had any issues.

Mastercard also works fine with AilExpress. Ditto not sending your CC/ bank details- the vendor might not do anything corrupt however you'll be sending those details unencrypted over the internet.

Are there virtual credit cards in the US?

It's a service all our banks offer, some with Visa, others with Mastercard, depending on the bank. For a specific purchase, imagine $14, you go to your homebanking and ask for a virtual CC for that amount. They send your cell phone a code that you have to insert to confirm you really asked for that CC. After you insert the code (you have one minute to do that) they instantly create a virtual card with a number, the valididy of next month and a security code. This is what you give to aliexpress. That specific virtual card has implicit that the maximum amount drawn from your bank account will be $14.
If the card is not used in 24 hours, it will become invalid. And after it is used once it can not be used again, even for another purchase of the same amount.

That is what I use to purchase on aliexpress, so you wouldn't have a problem in sendind a copy to them because the virtual card is used for one and unique purchase. And you're the one who says the maximum amount that can be drawn daily with virtual credit cards (you can change the amount prior to a purchase that is expensive and change it back to a smaller amount after the purchase). It's very safe.

I hope you understood, my english is not so good.

Yes, there are. But it's not (so much) the credit card number itself that's the issue. It's all of the other info that they want. They don't want a "copy" of a virtual card. They want images of both sides of your physical card, credit card statement, bank statement, passport, SS card, etc. Ridiculous.

From a security standpoint, I'd also advise against sending copies of your CC and bank info. Not sure why they'd need anything beyond the credit card info, but even then I wouldn't trust sending it via email/skype, etc.
I've had good luck with many AE sellers accepting PayPal. I've also had cases where my cards were declined and the next day, tried to order again and they went through with no fuss.

On the virtual credit cards, I've tried countless times to use the virtual CC service by Citi to no avail on AE, never could get them to work.
