I purchased this product off of Amazon to play around with. It's really fun to walk past areas in the city and see if it finds cameras.

What I'm wondering is: Are there cameras that operate on a frequency that this instrument does not detect?
What's the best way to, say, if i want to offer a service and look through peoples apartments for cameras for a fee, scan for cameras and find EVERYTHING?

1. this isn't anything new - these things have been around FOREVER
2. it's old technology that works with unsecured and unencrypted wireless video feeds (these are few and far between now a days).
3. you are a novice trying to play pro... Don't.
a. scanning a multi dwelling unit you will see a massive amount of wifi signals, few video typically.
b. this is the last device you would use for such a task.
c. lookup fluke air check, trilithic 802 awe, JDSU wifi adviser, greenlee air scout to name a few that truly analyze wifi traffic, conditions, saturation, amount of traffic, types of traffic, etc.
4. did I mention don't try to play "pro".

I would almost consider the thread *Spam* since this was your first post via a new account and it's talking about a crap product...
