Can't log with phone app anymore.

I have been using BI for over a year. In the last few days the remote viewer on the android phone keeps telling me "cannot connect to server".

I created another user with no luck. All info as far as lan & wan are correct in the setup. Also, going through the web server and remote access wizard checks out all ok on the PC.

I would appreciate any help on this.

Check if port is open using canyouseeme

No I cant. That is odd since nothing has changed. I checked my router setup and in port forwarding/triggering BI is listed with my internal IP address. I can also see my cams remotely with other software on my phone.
I am not sure what to do.

Sorry, I made a mistake with canyouseeme. Port was 80 should have been 81. Now it can see me. So port is open.

Don't forward your cameras..huge security risk...check firewalls

so you use a ddns service?
ddns offers no security..it is generally used in conjunction with port forwarding only to help with tracking the dynamic address....
use vpn if you can...my point was that if you are using blue iris then there is no point in forwarding cameras that are often insecure...

Thanks for the advice. I will certainly look into using a vpn or a more secure connection. But I am still baffled as to why BI is not working.It actually logged in once on the phone but never showed any cameras. Second attempt would not connect.

what version of blue iris are you running?
if can you see me cannot see the webserver port then its likely not a blue iris issues....confirm ip addresses including the local ip....

Can you see me and other can see me. BI is always updated to latest. Currently 4.5.9.1

if can you see me and you can view via browser, it points to either a setup issue in the app or something on the phone blocking the app..did you install anything new on your phone? try uninstalling the app and reinstalling

Yes I can see in browser. Phone has had no changes or additions to what I have used for the last couple of years.

One thing I noticed in BI options, it says below support level "basic" that expires 7/14/2017. I wonder if this has anything to do with it.

No it has nothing to do with it...
Triple check external IP and ports

IP address information in BI on phone is entered via BI's get IPS with the partial SN.
All that matches what is on the PC and what is working elsewhere.

Restarted the PC and it is working . Go figure.
