Hi all.

I am using Release 4.5.9.8 x64

In the past, I used to get a camera setup, then export the settings so that I can Import them when configuring a new camera and make minor tweaks. Now when I try, I export the camera setting (from camera properties), create a new camera and get to the properties of the new camera, select Import and choose the file, and i get the following error... "Error importing registry key: 5". None of the settings are imported.

This used to work awhile back as I used this method to add most my cameras into BI. I've been trying for awhile to make this work again, and have upgraded as new releases came out hoping they "auto-magically" fixed the problem. Anyone have ideas to help get the import/export working for me?

Thanks in advance!

Just tested and it works...I would export all settings, deactivate and reinstall..

I to have the same problem, I did find a workaround though the pc that you want to import the settings to, start that in SAFE MODE launch blue iris, then import your saved settings wait about 10 seconds then close and restart blue iris, your cameras should be now showing close blue iris, then restart windows in NORMAL STARTUP mode, everything should then be ok

I tried that and it didn't work, the workaround I have given works import your settings in safe mode to fix the problem, until blue iris issue a correct fix

I am running version 4.5.9.9 64bit I have already contacted blue iris there response was
The condition has been reported where users see this error importing, but we haven't yet found the solution.
Please try the following:

Traffic signal red
Disable all cameras.
Disable the service.

Once that's done please see if the import can proceed. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thank you,
Jennifer
again this workaround works
