Have you tried setting the default button in the Webgui, then power cycling the cam?

I tried and even reinstalled firmware but it does not work.
Even the previous firmware had problems with the dahua dealer contact to report problem but I see they have not finished anything I will wait for the next update

Interesting... overall how have you like your 25x? I haven't been on the forum as much as I would like... 30x has been great for me except the auto tracking. Out of the box it never worked, the first firmware upgrade got it to start tracking some items, but eventually would lose the subject. Besides that, I've had zero issues.

Perfectly happy with mine. My old fart brain couldn't figure out how to setup tracking, and I didn't buy it for that. Otherwise, watching trespassing types at night and critters at all hour's, I'm happy.

Getting the hang of it
I have same problem and few more. If I activate some of my IVS rule preset then idle time preset not working anymore. Camera will not go back my home preset. If I activate non IVS-rule preset then camera will go home preset after idle time. Second problem is time task function. Its only work few days and now its stays home preset.

There is a new PTZ function "Intelligence". No idea what it does yet. You can only turn off or on "Auto track".

What tiggers it then? Manual autotracking?
In the previous post I can not insert the image. Try the web with http: //tuoipcam/cgi-bin/userManager.cgi?action=getActiveUserInfoAll, and where your ipcam is, you must enter the IP address

Why wouldn't you record 24 hrs? If you have any type of tripwire, as soon as the camera moves it should trigger an event/flag. Mine did anyways(too much).

Yeah, i understand now. It works. This is a great addition to the PTZ functionality. I can now point the camera to any position and it just tracks subjects around without intrusion boxes or tripwires. Great.
Edit: useless after dusk though. Just starts randomly chasing the sky, trees, cats and birds. Back to IVS and intrusion boxes again. Bummer.

ATTENTION about this new firmware ->>> There is no going back to previous firmware versions!!!!
I experienced bad network lag after the new firmware upgrade. Tried to go back to the march 2017 version, but it fails. Seems like this was a permanent upgrade.
So better think twice if you don't really need this new firmware. It doesn't bring anything new/better.

Cheers for the heads up.
This is why I'm always 2-3 firmwares behind on everything, find one firmware that works and stick with it.
Let others trip over the undocumented "features".

Network lag is really terrible with this firmware. If anyone knows a safe way to do a firmware downgrade, pls share.

Received firefox security update 55 today and now my life image from my Dahua PTZ is not viewable anymore. Anyone who has experienced this also and has a solution? Help would be very much appreciated.
