Long story short, I have a bricked Hikvision DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZH8 world region camera.
I took screenshot of the camera before I sold it and was running V5.3.5 build 151218.
Doesn't show up in SADP and TFTP with no success (never passes the TFTP server [192.0.0.128] initialized handshake).
I know it's getting power as the front LEDs are stuck on.

Any ideas?]Hikvision DS-2CD4A26FWD Capture.JPG DSC09593.JPG DSC09594.JPG DSC09597.JPG

Apologies if this is what you've already done - if it's like other Hikvision reset buttons, it needs to be pressed before power on, and kept on until pretty well fully booted, ie 20-30 secs.

That's good - but static or occasional blinks?
Yes did the correct reset procedure.
Only a solid green light on port. No blinking...

It sounds like it's been goosed (if that term translates OK).
Do you feel inclined to take the lid off and poke around inside?

If not, I don't suppose you'd accept a 'spares or repair' offer for it ...
I'm always curious to look at something different.

Success! Camera working now!

Thank to alastairstevenson mentioning router, I got thinking about that camera wasn't even communicating with PC.
I then remember somewhere on forum about different address on computer and changed PC address from 192.0.0.128 to 192.168.1.128 and TFTP loaded original firmware right up.

Thanks again alastairstevenson!

Well, that's a good result!
And down to you - not anything I did.

Interesting about the alternate IP address.
We need to remember that for when people try the tftp updater on newish products and it doesn't appear to work.
Maybe Hikvision have started populating the bootloader environment variables with a more common IP address.
