Using BI 4.6.3. Accessing over Remote Access, ActiveX/MPEG viewer in IE.

Live stream functions fine.

Can see thumbnails of clips in the menu, but when I select one, "Unable to Connect" appears.

If I switch to another browser and use the JPEG viewer, I just get a broken link icon instead of the message, but I assume its related.

Help!

Ensure that the blue iris user has permissions to view recorded clips

Is BVR the "Blue Iris DVR" format?

I did search the error code, which is why I found out i needed to install the codec, which didn't seem to work.

At any rate, I will make the change to BVR (per your answer back) and then repost here.

Thank you for you help :)

yes it is...bvr is more efficient and allows you to view recorded video while its being written to the file unlike mp4 which locks the file until the writing is done.

I took a guess and seemed to have guessed correctly with the BVR format. It seems to have solved the issue of seeing clips within the native viewer. Thank you!

I'll report back on the jpeg clip viewing in the remote access browser.

It all seems to have done the trick. Its actually showing the video format next to the clip name indicating the old (mp4) and the new (bvr).

Thanks again for your help!
