New version works fine with mine 'out of the box' as expected.

Yeah, I don't think that there are any other variations in between my version and the fix. At that point it's done anyway so should be good for all of them where it works.

I am currently trying to reset the password using the tool. I have tried it several times and no luck. I think I ma leaving out the model number. Example: My camera "serial number is DS-2CD2332-I20150526CCWR520477226...I remove the DS-2CD2332-I and paste the 20150526CCWR520477226..but its not working. am I grabbing too much or too little of the serial number? Ive tried several times, several ways but to no avail..Thanks..Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong??

I never heard of having to remove the model number from the camera's serial. The most common problem is not matching the date in the tool to the date the camera thinks it currently is. Also, typos. Spaces in the input fields where they do not belong, or incorrect letter case.

Check for typos, spaces in the input fields where they do not belong (it is easy to accidentally get one at the beginning or end), or incorrect letter case.

Yep...Checked..No spaces. I did a cut and paste so I shouldn't have to worry about uppercase / lower case etc..for being so simple its certainly taking its toll on me..lol

I factory reset my NVR and now my cameras display "no link". I can see the cameras in SADP Tool, but I'm not able to change the password or IP. Cameras have IPs 192.168.254.16 and .18 no Gateway IP, the NVR has an IP 192.0.2.64; which I don't how it would communicate? I have tried changing the IP, to a range of 192.168.254./24, of the NVR and the modification is accepted, but then changes back. I don't remember the password for the cameras and when I tried using the password reset tool, the cameras reject the change.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

can anyone help me? im trying to reset my forgotten/lost/reset password on my nvr and the tool is not working. ive tried in sadp and ivms4200 both fail

Hi.

I have a quiz!!

Why you don't use hard reset button to reset the camera!!??
The hard reset button can do a factory reset.

I think the problem is, just for NVRs DVRs. They don't have any reset button.

So the best way is hard reset button in the camera.

Because not all cameras have the reset button, my DS-2CD2342WD-I doesn't so this was a life saver.

Hi, I would need help resetting the password to my HikVision DS-2CD2342WD-I camera with firmware 5.4.5 170124.
I no longer remember the password and I need to upgrade firmware to the latest version.
I'm waiting for your feedback.

What version are you running? I need to reset my NVR as well, its a 7616 as well, but it's on 3.4.3

I got mine reset. Had to plug directly into the nvr and plug in a mouse. Used the reset utility in this thread, but instead of entering it into sadp, I entered it into a secret button on the bottom left hand corner of the login page. If you Google this, you can probably find out more
