A friend is building a new home and was trying to determine a self monitoring solution (e-mail/text) for a wired alarm system. He will have home internet not phone. He was working with someone to order the parts from ADI and they mentioned he should get a VIsta 20p panel with the ZC-EVL4CG (which appears to be the EnvisaLink 4) as a self monitoring solution. Is this the best panel + add-on for self monitoring? He plans on setting up IP cameras as well to remote view if the alarm is tripped (Hikivision NVR with WBOX 3mp bullet cameras).

On a side note, my house has GE NetworX/Interlogix NX6v2 with all wired sensor/panels. Would the EnvisaLink work as a self monitoring solution for this or a different type of module? If not, could I just replay my GE panel with a Vista 20p?

I have the envisalink as well but i have th dsc wired system.
Im actually monitoring it thru alarmrelay. Its real cheap. 120.?? A year. But i have the alerts from the envisalink set to text and email me. Just another layer of protection.

I would recommend the envisalink. Its worked great for us for at least 4 years now.

the envisalink works with DSC and Vista, but not GE NetworX. The envisa is an excellent self monitoring service (free, but you can add monitoring as well). You will control your system remotely and receive a notification (text), identifying the triggered zone in case of an alarm. Since the system is web based, you will not receive a push-notification with a distinct sound, it will be received as any other text message. I tried to customize the sound of the text alert with no success. The text message from envisa is on the 1 (410) 100-XXX increment format, not able to attach exclusively to the envisa. Interlogix launch the NX-595E IP Communiction module for the Networx series, app based. I only tested briefly, but basically you can do the same with the envisa. I was expecting it will solve my push-notifications issues encounter with the envisa, but is was basically the same. I did not tested fully (put it back in the box), maybe someone with more experience with the NX-595E could explain if distinctive push-notifications are possible.

EyezOn now has a mobile app that works with the Envisalink 4 that gives you distinctive push notifications. I use that and also text as a backup.

thanks SLC. I have the EVL3 installed. In order to receive the push notifications, you need the paid services or is still on the free version? I download the app on my ios, but still receiving the 1(410) 100-XXX random text messages. I noticed on my Manage Device page, the EnvisAlert is not present (EnvisaLink 3 & 4 Primer | EyezOn) or that page is only available on the EVL-4? Thanks again SLC

I have the mobile app on an android (Galaxy S7) and I'm using the free version. I have not tried it on iOS. Just looked on my ipad and can't find the EyezOn app in the app store. I'm not using the link that you download from their web page. I used to use the link but now I use their mobile app which is very similar to the download link but sends push notifications. It's been awhile but I think when I downloaded the app from the play store I just logged in with my user name and password. Not sure if you can adjust the push notifications but I can play around with it more tomorrow and get back to you.

Screenshot_20171202-221136.png My text messages look like this. They come from noreply@eyezon and not a random number. Not sure if that's a setting issue or just how an iOS device receives notifications.

IMG_3563.PNG Yes, it could be different for ios, even thou is defined as push notifications for ios as well. I'm just receiving the following sms message. Do your push notification have a distinct sound, different to your regular messages? Thanks for your time.

When I arm or disarm the system I get a push notification with an audible "doorbell & door opening" sound. When the alarm is triggered I get a push notification and text message as seen in the second photo. I also get an audible "siren alarm" sound on my phone.

I noticed you are getting your messages from Connect2Go and not EyezOn. I think they are similar but have different Web pages to set up your account. Not sure if that would change how you receive your messages. I only get the push notifications from using EyezOn app from the play store on android device. I couldn't find the same app on iOS device.

Just looked on my iPhone and it looks like EyezOn does have a mobile app for iOS. You may have to set up your account through EyezOn then try the app. Not sure why I couldn't find it on my ipad.

When I bought my Envisalink 4 it came in a Connect2Go box with instructions on how to set it up through Connect2Go but I still set it up through EyezOn. So don't worry about that. If it's an Envisalink device you can set it up through either web page without issue.

Ok. So you are using the actual app you download from the app store and not the link that they send you from their web page?

Ok. Only thing I can think then would be ios vs android. You could always try emailing EyezOn support and see what they say. Let me know if it works out for you.

IMG_3564.PNG You were correct SLC, I should be using the connect2go app, which is also available for ios. The user, in this case my wife email was register on connect2go customers accounts. By mistake, it allows me to login on both (eyezon and connect2go) because initially I login using my dealer account. Now my iphone appears registered in my wife Contacts (Manage Device). You help me out as well to discover the availability of the envisalink4 UNO Standalone mode. I really appreciate your help. Thanks again, Edgar.

That's great! Glad you got it working and it was something fairly easy to fix.
