Hey Guys

Dahua just released some 2MP,3MP,5MP cams with H.265,mainly abour the lite series, cheap and quality is good. The lite 5mp is the latest new ones. I put a IPC-HDW2531R-ZS here for a checking.

TESLA Series XVR., seems powerful than before versions.

These are good ones for the limited budget for a good and reliable security system.
Dahua website still not release, so i send you guys firstly. lol

As always DAHUA specs sheet are confusing:

IPC-HDW2531R-ZS
First page: "1/2.7” 5Megapixel progressive CMOS"
Second page: "1/3” 4Megapixel progressive CMOS"

???

This data is the first releasing before they put on the website, so maybe has some mistakes. First page: "1/2.7” 5Megapixel progressive CMOS" this one is the right ones.
Dahua seems using more at Chinese subway system. today just find they install too many cams at the subway, crazy.

These cams have no IVS, but h265+. But If we use it with an nvr ivs should be possible. right?
How much is the price difference to hdw5231r-z?

No, with -4ks2 NVR you can have IVS although it's not possible from the cam.

But I didn't test it with low budget ones yet.

P.e. if you use smart codec IVS will be disabled for a cam although the cam has generally IVS. When you use any 4xxx-x-4ks2 or 5xxxx-x-4ks2 you can use IVS Rules perfectly! Together with smart codec.
This is still a feature which many of you don't use or know, although I really recommend it!
Test it out...
And therefore it would be very cool if this is also with these lite versions possible.

It is also a function in the NVR. You should look at Event and then you see it

no, the nvr turns it on or off...the nvr does not process the video.

It will not work in the NVR if the camera does not support it..

Sorry, but I don´t agree. It is possible and I use it on several customer setups.
But I didn´t have a cam for testing purposes of these newer series.
Have you ever tried smart codec? Sometimes I think I am the only installer, who knows the advantages of these special codec. And since I discovered, that with the newer firmwares of all nvrs -4ks2 its also possible to have IVS (like if you would use SmartPSS) I tested and played around with it.

Please try it out. You will see, that I am right.

But back to topic, what happens if I use these newer lite series. It would be great, if this feature isn´t blocked by nvr.

@EMPIRETECANDY
If you can give me an p2p connection to one of these cams I can test it. Or you send me a reviewing one ;)

You could disagree but you see wrong..NVR cannot and does not process the video..all events come from the camera.

But I use it. Its not a joke. NVR can do it´s own IVS analysis. Smart Codec uses too much cpu power on the cam, therefore it will be disabled, when we activated it. But connecting it to an nvr you can still use all IVS features. Believe it or not your are wrong.

But you are not alone. The hole DACH Support team doesn´t know these features. LOL Till I showed it to them.
