I found this image on the internet and thought, what a pain in the ass to have watch this system everyday and be alert. Seems like it would a cause for mental paranoia. :winktongue:

There's a box of tissues on the desk. Maybe because watching those monitors makes eyes watery....

Nice, this is what our beginning set ups looked like. This setup has 6 screens and six mice, which is even more fun to operate. Believe or not, your eyes become used to no movement on the screen, so when there is movement, it jumps out at you. Watching cameras at night becomes even easier.

My first thought was the image was from a high school or a prison, and upon closer inspection I think it's a high school.

So many other factors to think about with this setup and that is setting each and every camera's intruder alerts, area of interest, blocking, etc etc. Then, what happens on a firmware update? my gawd just noticed also, no one is watching the system too, lol. Must go through employees at this station daily. Turning the system on must make the cities lights all dim down too. lol Oh and look at that little friggin table. Sheesh, buy a desk you cheap bastages. lmao

Yeah, most likely. Notice they wouldn't allow the monitor / guard a keyboard if PC-based (he'd be looking at porn, checking latest prices at 'Cheaper Than Dirt', posting selfies on Facebook of himself against that 64-cam backdrop).
But what he DOES need is a desk microphone so he can holler over the PA or hall speaker at a specific cam location "hey, pick up that gum you just spit out, shithead!" or "if you touch her there again I'm gonna come out there and put my foot up your ass!" (Oh, hell no...I'm just kidding).

Firmware updates? Ha, your funny. If that is a school, they most likely are still port forwarding everything. Not a VPN in sight. That's how they are operating in the schools around here. And their networks are a friggin hodge podge disaster.

Im going to bet the majority of the cameras are high traffic areas that really serve no purpose except to see the area. for instance the one monitor on the bottom left nothing but outside parking lots. the top right nothing but what looks to be lobby areas.

Ill stab at it and say the middle lower one if the main cameras needing to be watch along with the middle top.

Looks almost like a typical UK local authority CCTV control room:

Old post but it reminds me of the Casinos security system, they have cameras over EVERY TABLE, and as everyone knows all over the casino.
thats not counting the security cameras for the hotel and restaurants.
thanx for the pic.
can confirm, I worked as a casino surveillance drone about 20 years ago. We had more than one camera on each table, plus ptzs covering every single corner of the floor. Back then we were still using VHS tapes and rotating them every 14 days.
